On the heels of Macotakara’s rumor that the budget iPhone would be equipped with a 4.5 inch display and would sport a polycarbonate body, a new research note from Barclays Capital Securities analyst Kirk Yang is now claiming that Apple is preparing to launch both an iPhone 5S and a lower cost iPhone in August or September.
Per Yang, two different iPhone models will be made available: one supporting the standard frequency-division duplexing (FDD) technology and other supporting the time-division duplexing (TDD) used by China Mobile.
The lower-cost iPhone is expected to be built by both Foxconn and Pegatron while the iPhone 5S will be manufactured by Foxconn. The Apple iPhone 5S is said to be a world phone with a Qualcomm chip with all LTE bands including China Mobile’s bands.
