iPhone 5S in blue color with dual-LED flash spotted

Based on past rumors, the iPhone 5S is rumored to feature the iPhone 5-like body design, a 12 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, an A7 SoC, and a fingerprint sensor placed underneath a home button for added security. New color option “Gold” was recently tipped by mainstream media outlets be made available in addition to White and Black.

Interestingly, ictech has now posted a new photo showing iPhone 5S’ top strip with a larger oval-shaped cut-out to accommodate dual-LED flash. These leaked shots falls in line with the iPhone 5S prototype model which appeared few weeks back and with last week’s part leak.

Apple is also expected to release low-cost model iPhone 5C which according to multiple leaks is a medley of iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 5G and iPhone 5. In fact, Apple has taken the design elements from all three devices and mashed them to create a new product – “iPhone 5C”. The low-cost iPhone is manufactured from the high-quality polycarbonate plastic and is claimed to be slightly thicker than the current iPhone 5. This low-cost iPhone is expected to arrive in various color options such as green, blue, yellow, and red.

The next-generation iPhones’ would be coming at a time when there’s more competition in the market. Both Samsung and Sony have positioned their event on September 4th, where they are expected to announce high-end smartphones such as Galaxy Note 3 and Xperia i1 Honami.

Apple is expected to launch both the iPhone 5S and 5C at a media event on September 10th.

iPhone 5C Home Button Circuit Leaked, Hints Major Redesign

Part supplier sw-box has just posted replacement part of iPhone 5C Home Button Flex Cable Ribbon Housing. The part sells for a whopping $15 and is said to be compatible with iPhone 5C (Plastic model).

The shape of the iPhone 5C Home Button Flex Cable indicates there will be major redesigned home button in the model, despite many rumors saying that the model will adopt the iPhone 5′s internal components.

As seen in the photos, the cable is attached at the middle of the circular home button part while in iPhone 5; the cable runs from left hand side and takes a half-U-turn. Even the shape of the circular button appears differently in iPhone 5C part.

Possible iPhone 5C Specs

Although tech specs are yet to be confirmed, it’s likely the iPhone 5C will use essentially the 4 inch IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) display  (1136×640 resolution at 326ppi), 1.2 GHz Quad Core A7 CPU paired with 2GB RAM assisted by PowerVR SGX 554MP4 GPU and a possible 8 megapixel snapper. The device will run on iOS 7.

Why ‘C’ will stand for ‘Color’ and not Cheaper?

When a company is marketing its product, it essential thinks about what they are saying and how their message will be perceived. If Apple uses the word ‘cheaper’, the people might perceive it as a low grade model which Apple marketing team will never do. Apple will never devalue their product by calling them “cheap” or by saying that you’ve got “rock-bottom pricing,” because doing so makes iPhone look, well, ‘low quality’. So the “C” designation would refer to the various color options available on plastic iPhone which will be competitively priced.

iPhone 5C Release Date
